TALIB KWELI + MADLIB - 'RICHIES PART TWO' FT. ROC MARCIANO AND WESTSIDE GUNN
This landmark collaboration gave me instant inspiration upon hearing it. The sample used by Madlib was gritty and warm with gun silencer sound effects throughout. I came up with the concept of following the path of a bullet throughout the video, and seeing just how destructive and far-reaching a bullet/weapon’s path can be. Stylistically I chose to creative a hand-drawn stylistic envelope and pay homage to one of my favorite animators, Bill Plympton.
