NATIVE SONS PT. 2 - Talib Kweli, J Rawls, Maseo, Black Thought,
Posdnuos, Mike G, Afrika, Busta Rhymes
I was asked to create an animated lyric video for a song from the latest collaboration album between Talib Kweli and Ohio born DJ / Producer, J.Rawls, that features an all-star cast including Black Thought, Maseo, Posdnuos, Mike G, Africa and Busta Rhymes. In creating this video, I consciously saved and templatized motion elements and design tactics to create a visual language that could live on past this video itself. This is a crucially important notion – to archive and templatize your design executions so that you can achieve more deliverables in a way that is both efficient and cohesive. This allows you to create nimbly in a pinch – which was pivotal in this case.
